Toe-Crusher Bitter

Modified kit from Northern Brewer (Kit was British Bitter. Recipe modified by addition of 2 oz UK Carastan and 4 oz 120 L grain, .5 lb Light DME,  Goldings hops added 3/4 oz at 2 min and 1/4 oz at cooldown).

Brewed with 1 gallon water without water softener and 4 with. I'm hoping this will add a hint of the mineral tastes that come out in some great bitters in the UK.

01/01/01 - It came out quite well. Mild hint of mineral....not a "Bass" but quite good.
