Brew Pubs!

Yea, Joe has a real job.  He's the owner of Stutler Associates, a computer consulting firm. One of his core clients is SkillPath/CompuMaster, a seminar training company he no longer recommends or endorses. Well, Joe spends much of his time teaching people how to use computers and networks and such all over the planet. He spends quite a bit of time traveling, having consulted and trained in over 35 American states and Canadian provinces, and several countries across both ponds, and 4 continents. In 2000, he spent more nights in hotels than he did at home (or at least is seems that way!). 2000 also included a trip to the UK, where some wonderful beers, ales, whiskeys, whiskys, etc., were enjoyed!

Joe's hobby when he's traveling is finding Brew Pubs....someplace to have a good beer or two, get a decent meal, and relax for a while. You'd think that eating and drinking in brewpubs might get old after a while, but it's amazing the variety of menus, brews, ambience, and so on that are out there. Everything from the glass and chrome yuppie cages to the 60's throwback tie-dyed comfort zones to the pizza joints and historical buildings and industrial factory themes and so on and so on.....

Quite an extensive variety of menus. Gourmet chefs to burgers and fries to the one where the bar tender can throw a brat in a pan with some of their ale....'did ya want 'kraut with that?' No matter the menu, the food is usually tasty and made with care. Attention to quality isn't just in the brewing process.

Speaking of brewing, its the beers that take center stage. Why else a brewpub? Best advice? Start with a sampler (like a flight, for you wino's!)....most all brewpubs serve a sample of each beer (or sometimes selected beers), usually around 4 ounces each, for a reasonable charge. This gives you the opportunity to try all they have to offer!
